Willis' award-winning IMDb ranking as one of the finest action stars of the 1990s is unaffected by Deadlock.

'Deadlock Afdah' has become a cliche in and of itself. The narrative is obvious, the acting is underwhelming, and expecting a definite finish is pointless. It's a promise that emphasizes detail, tone, and slambang action. However, it falls short of combining the fundamental factors that make a superb VoD movie viewing. Bruce Willis seldom plays a villain, and at his age, it's difficult to take him seriously, so he presumably takes out his pistol to demonstrate that he can still terrify people.

It all begins with Willis' Ron Whitlock, who wants vengeance when one of his kids is a victim of a heist gone wrong. Whitlock sees a botched mission with a master plan that can only go in one direction with the second son behind the jail. In an effort to persuade police that he had defiled his surviving son, he kidnaps Fitzgerald Hydroelectric and activates a flood gate in town.

Things appear to be going as planned, but Mack Carr (Patrick Maldon) has a former Ranger who has other plans. He is Whitlock's only danger as a welder attempting to make a life by working on the dam, while his wife is currently in a relationship with the dam's manager. The protagonist and antagonist do not meet until the final minute of the film, and any interaction between the two is worthless since the film is eager to terminate Whitlock's twisted race.

The performers do their parts well, but it is not enough to give the picture substance. Mack's estranged wife, Ava Paloma as Sophia, Michael DeVorjan as Smith, and Matthew Marsden as Boone appear only in-between frames as the film alternates between Willis and Maldon's differing perspectives on the incident. Is 'Deadlock' did not contribute anything to Willis' award-winning IMDb list 'as one of the top performers and actresses of the 1990s, and possibly better than appearing in films that genuinely provide him experienced action? Makes her the celebrity she was back then.
